Prabhnoor Kler

Hello my name is Prabhnoor Kler. I'm a Political Science student at York University with a passion for advocacy, policy, and creating change from the ground up. I've always been drawn to the power of words, systems, and leadership, and now I get to study how they shape our world. Whether I'm researching social justice movements or supporting civic engagement in my community, I'm here to build a future rooted in equity, representation, and bold ideas.

My Story

Prabhnoor’s journey into political science began with a deep sense of curiosity about how the world works, and how it could work better. From a young age, she was drawn to stories of resistance, reform, and resilience. Whether it was classroom debates, student council meetings, or volunteering in local campaigns, Prabhnoor realized that real change starts with informed action. This passion led her to York University, where she now studies political science with a focus on public policy, global affairs, and human rights. Her academic work is rooted in real-world issues, like gender equity, anti-racism, and civic education, and she brings a critical lens to every conversation. Outside of class, Prabhnoor is committed to community involvement. She's volunteered with youth organizations, organized workshops on student leadership, and advocated for inclusive policies at the local level. One of her proudest moments was coordinating a student-led initiative to address period poverty in high schools. For Prabhnoor, political science isn’t just theory, it’s a roadmap for justice. Her long-term goal is to work in public service or law, where she can continue amplifying underrepresented voices and shaping policies that matter. To her, progress means lifting others as you rise, and she’s only just getting started.
